Chemical Skin Peels

At Iorio Plastic Surgery & CosMedical Center, we use aesthetic and medical-grade chemical peels to remove damaged outer layers of skin and reveal the healthy, younger-looking skin cells beneath. Chemical peels contain strong but gentle formulations for deep cleansing, exfoliating, and reducing fine lines.

Combine a chemical peel with microdermabrasion for outstanding results and smoother skin that will plump and look younger as collagen growth is stimulated.

What are chemical peels?

Chemical peels use different formulations depending upon your skin type to help lessen the appearance of wrinkles, acne, and uneven skin texture and tone by encouraging the outer layer of skin to peel. This reveals the newer, fresher skin underneath, giving you a healthier, brighter look.

What are the benefits of chemical peels?

Chemical peels rejuvenate the face and reverse the signs of aging, reducing the appearance of dry skin, blemishes, fine wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. Certain types of chemical peels can be used as an effective solution for acne. Chemical peels leave your skin looking healthier and younger, with very little to no downtime involved.

How do chemical peels work?

A facial peel works in much the same fashion as the peeling of your skin following sunburn. The new skin has a beautiful smooth texture. Dr. Iorio will also recommend professional skin care products to complement your cosmetic chemical peel.

What types of chemical peels do you offer?

We offer several types of chemical peels for mild to deep treatments, including glycolic chemical peels, TCA (trichloracetic acid) chemical peels, Jessner’s chemical peels, and salicylic chemical peels.

Replenix MD Chemical Peel

The perfect 10 Peel has been designed to deliver what patients are after: a peel that actually peels, exfoliates the skin, and delivers desired results.  With this combination peel of glycolic, salicylic, mandelic, pyruvic and lactic acid, you will be on your way to perfect skin.

Glycolic Chemical Peel

Improve the appearance of fine wrinkles, dry skin, acne, and uneven skin color with a glycolic chemical peel. Glycolic chemical peels contain alpha-hydroxy acids that produce a light peel for healthy, glowing skin. The mildest of peel formulas, the glycolic can be customized for 30%-70% solutions.

TCA Chemical Peel

TCA (trichloracetic acid) chemical peels create a medium-depth skin peel. TCA is ideal for treating surface wrinkles, blemishes, and pigment irregularities. TCA has a short recovery time with lasting results.

Jessner's Chemical Peel

Jessner's chemical peels smooth fine lines and wrinkles and evens out skin texture and tone. If you have problems with acne and blackheads, Jessner's can help. Jessner's amazing solution can be customized to your skin for light to medium-depth chemical peels.

Salicylic Chemical Peel

Salicylic chemical peels are great for people with acne and large pores on the forehead, nose, and chin (T-Zone) area.  Salicylic chemical peels deeply cleanse the pores and provide superficial peeling to stimulate new cell growth. The salicylic solution can be customized for your individual needs.
