Neck Tightening

Saggy skin, excess fat, heavy or drooping jowls, or loose neck muscles can make your face appear tired, older, and less youthful. There are several neck tightening procedures that can trim off excess skin, remove fat, or tighten the underlying muscles to give you a more desirable, youthful appearance.

One of the most obvious signs of aging is the lack of firmness in the skin. As we age our skin loses the elasticity that it had in our younger years, and this causes it to become loose and appear saggy. This process is often most obvious on the face and neck. Although you cannot turn back the hands of time, you can be proactive and learn more about neck tightening procedures that are available to you.

What is neck tightening?

Neck tightening is a procedure that removes excess loose skin folds and or fatty tissue from the area around your neck. Neck tightening restructures, firms and smooths your neck area, shaving years off of your appearance. It can be performed as a stand-alone or in conjunction with other procedures such as a face-lift, eyelid surgery (known as blepharoplasty), or brow lift.

What are the benefits of neck tightening?

Neck tightening procedures can result in a dramatically more youthful and freshened appearance. Loose, flabby skin caused by age, weight fluctuations, sun and wind exposure can make you look more tired, older, and less vigorous or fit. Our minimally invasive precision technology offers superior results with very little downtime.

How is neck tightening performed?

We employ the exceptionally advanced PrecisionTX™ laser system to precisely target unwanted sagging and fatty skin. This one-time, one-hour procedure harnesses the power of a small, side firing 1440 nm wavelength laser beam to heat targeted areas of the throat and or jowls.

The laser also has a built in temperature control options, allowing for more predictable and precise results. The treatment works by boosting your natural collagen production, leading to a tightening and firming of previously sagging skin.

The PrecisionTX™ works best for patients who have a certain amount of skin elasticity, well defined underlying bone and muscle structure, as well as moderate amounts of fat and loose skin in their jowls, lower face, and neck. It is also ideal for those who are not ready for a full on facelift and desire a procedure with minimal downtime.

What happens after neck tightening?

The targeted areas will be slightly sore and some swelling is normal flowing the procedure. The procedure also requires three, very discreet, tiny incisions under each earlobe as well as one directly under the chin. With proper care and follow-up, there should be little to no noticeable scaring. You will be required to wear a compression garment/bandage for 48 hours following the procedure. You will also need to wear the same compression garment for 12 hours a day for 12 days. Depending on your particular needs, you may need to wear the compression garment for an additional week or two in order to enhance the long-term results. Most patients find that they are able to return to their normal activities within a matter of 1-2 days. Before you are approved for the treatment, our highly trained staff will also evaluate your skin type and advise you regarding appropriate after care in order to maximize your outcome.
